Hi, I’m Cole. I’m a builder, hacker, and artist working across software, fabrication, and creative code.
I don’t chase polish — I chase proof. Whether I’m sketching an algorithm or welding a steel bracket, I’m testing ideas by building them. Some hold up. Some fall apart. Either way, I learn fast and move forward.
This studio runs on art, code, and fire.
Crescent Wrench Studio is a one-person workshop based in New Orleans.
It’s set up to move fluidly between code and craft — from AI workflows and React apps to welding rigs and circuit boards.
I design software, write firmware, assemble microcontrollers, model in CAD, and build with wood, steel, and silicon. Whether it’s a physical prototype or a digital system, I build just enough to find out if the idea holds up — or falls apart.
This isn’t a design agency. It’s a lab for doing the messy, early work of figuring things out.
This is the archive of what I’ve tried, tested, and built.
Some of these projects were client jobs. Some were prototypes for ideas I couldn’t stop thinking about. All of them were ways to learn something real — by doing it.
You’ll find software tools, AI experiments, weird little machines, and physical builds that live somewhere between product and art. Everything here started with a question: Can this be done? Should it?
I don’t always know the answer when I start — that’s the point.
Have an idea that’s hard to explain but feels worth building? Something weird, early, technical, or just too rough for a big agency?
I help people get from napkin sketch to functional prototype — fast.
Whether it’s software, a physical build, or something in between, I’m here for the messy, high-leverage phase where everything is still a question.
Ready to make something together?
